15/05/08 - Aynsley Lister @ Newcastle Carling Academy

Aynsley Lister is a photographers dream and by regularly strolling forward to the front of the stage, he gives me the wake up call I need to invest in the 10-22mm Ultra Wide angle lense I’ve been drooling over!

Tonight, Aynsley is opening for Robin Trower and he easily justifies his position as best British blues talent on the highly competitive and bloody awesome Ruf Records Label.

There are moments in the set where Aynsley really gets chance to crank it up, ably supported by Jo Nichols and Rich Spooner, but the crowd are equally as appreciative of the slower, jammed out acoustic moments. Its testament to the bands quality in fact that at the end of the (extended) set Robin Trowers legion of fans give them a great reception and would quite happily have had them continue.

Aynsleys latest album ‘Upside Down’ is available to buy now.
