The Hamsters are in town tonight, which means its time for obnoxiously coloured shirts, bright shoes and animal from the muppets(?!)

Its been a while (7-8years?) since I’ve last seen The Hamsters and I was quite dissapointed to see that they are still performing a nearly identical show (songs and shirts) nearly a decade later.

To be fair to them, they do what they do well, and thats to mainly cover Hendrix. What you see is what you get - they are an honest and hard working band and they know how to get a crowd rocking, but its just a shame that they dont throw more songs of their own into the mix.

Stage was really tight tonight - the band were pushed right to the front and Slim had a lapsteel right next to his mic stand that was actually making me consider my composition (I know, shocking isnt it). All shots taken using the 10-22 and 24-70 combo.
