Pyro! Pyro! Pyro! Pyro!

When I got pulled aside by security on the way into the photo pit, I was fully expecting to be turned away, but when i heard the words “Fireworks and explosions, first song”, I just knew this was going to rock!

Huge stage setup for Bullet For My Valentine tonight. The stage was massive and used to full effect - there was a ridiculously large backdrop behind it (always adds something when your shooting), explosions firing left right and centre, and there were two big risers at stage front that were illuminated from below.

The set itself was great. It seems that you either love or hate Bullet, and because of that, everybody in attendance was REALLY into it. The band seemed to notice and delivered a great performance, and for my first time shooting at the Apollo I really enjoyed myself as well.

All the lenses got pulled from the bag tonight, 10-22, 24-70 and 70-200.
