Hahahaha, Machine Head are in town

If you’ve never witnessed it before - Machine Head in a live environment is a force to be reckoned with - a caged beast so to speak.

Given that the locals are already a touch excited to be seeing Slipknot tonight, they are pretty much baying for blood when Clenching the Fists of Dissent kicks things off.

Behind me, bodies are strewn everywhere, crowd surfers come over the top of the barrier and it leaves me dodging kicks to the face just as frequently as taking photos. When I leave the pit at the end of Ten Ton Hammer, I stand at the side to watch the rest of the set - my favourite three MH songs are in there (Old, Davidian and Halo), and its only then that I twig.
